Hi Howard,

I didn't do anything special, just ran the application, on both my MBP and MB @ work. My understanding is that Bootcamp is emulating the BIOS so that you can install Windows. I do notice that a load of people have tried with no success, luck maybe. I will be reinstalling Windows on my MBP in a few months time as I am going to be installing a 320GB (if I can find one that will fit) so will be doing a complete rebuild of OS's. I will post when that happens.

Dear TheorizationAlongObliqueSpeculation,
I was wondering, does TrueCrypt's Full Disk crypto work properly on bootcamp? Did you have to do any thing special to get the pre-boot authentaction to work? I thought that it would not work due to the way the MBR is setup on a Mac, and the lack of a real BIOS. If you could answer my question I would be very greatfull. Thanks.

I don't think that using a VM will make consistent result. Also when using my laptop encrypted with AES (TrueCrypt) I don't see so much difference!

I did some testing using a HP nc4200 and the results where pretty much the same, but I could not trust them as much thanks to the benchmarks crashing more often than running through on the machine. I do plan on doing it again when I can get a more reliable workstation. I had planned on using PCMark as well, but it would not run the Disk tests on an encrypted drive, even on a VM session.

I use the VM sessions quite a bit and did notice a perceivable difference in performance when the system was encrypted, and the tests showed the difference graphically. xxGERMxx tweeted that he noticed a significant boot time difference which I noticed when the VM was encrypted.
